Lowe's Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile quad oval track. The complex also includes a 2.25-mile road course and 0.6-mile karting layout in the infield; a 1/4-mile asphalt oval utilizing part of the speedway's frontstretch and pit road; and a 1/5-mile oval located outside turn three of the superspeedway.
The Speedway hosts three NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events, two NASCAR Busch Series events and a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on the 1.5-mile superspeedway. The track is also used for various weekly events such as the short-track series for Legend Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters; as well as World Karting Association regional, nationl and international races.
